“Be strong and of good courage.”

These are times of unprecedented challenges that most of us have not experienced and/or witnessed in our lifetimes. Whether individually or in our broader families, friend networks and communities, on a physical and/or mental, socioeconomic and/or financial basis. The world is enduring a global tsunami where it is difficult to see through to the other side of when this wave will pull back and what it will leave behind.

So how to get there?

For me, it’s about strength and courage.

This is a call for you to initiate a ripple of light in your community.

This is a call for you to initiate a ripple of light in your community.

Me. October 25 is the inaugural StrengthnCourage Day, a day for you to commit to take on an activity that takes you beyond your comfort level. If you are not a runner or a walker, run/walk one mile, or, better, make it two. If you have never before ridden a trail, or a horse, here is your chance. Don’t be overwhelmed; feel challenged, plus a little more. Just make it physical (a six-hour gaming session is not the objective).

Gain some ideas and inspiration from others here or email me at info@strengthncourage.com for suggestions.

Us. Two is better than one. Three is better than two. Bring in your family and/or friends so you don’t have to go it alone, and to inspire them to stretch their limits. Make it a block party of getting out there (safely). The multiplier effect is starting to take hold...

Them. Many of the current challenges are borne by those we cannot see, or those we do see but don’t look at. With a donation to your local office of the UJA Federation, you will be helping your community and beyond with the increased needs for food security, trauma care, job support and more.

And that is how the light gets in.
